GLOBAL takes all the insightful tidbits from a Parts Unknown episode wrapped with the cerebral feel of Jiro Dreams of Sushi together with a deep dive history lesson into thousands of years of gastronomy. Each event has the potential to become a digestible short form series  episode or a once-in-a-lifetime experience for a group.

GLOBAL is culture-driven series following notable chefs on a journey, they spend 7 days exploring and learning the genetic code of ‘Nacional Dishes’. Each episode includes culinary lessons and meaningful stories presented by local chefs and luminaries. The final episode celebrates the journey with each chef’s thesis dish.

The first five days of immersion focus on genetics, ancestral, pre-hispanic, mayora and modern. The sixth day is filled with panel discussions while the chefs prepare for competition. Trade and media are encouraged to attend the discussions interweaving topics of gender, monoculture and feeding our youth.

On the seventh day, the whole world watches the competition to see who will win the international title by presenting the winning judge’s plate.

Five competing chefs are selected based on their dedication to the preservation of culture and sustainable agriculture at home. The hosting country is a collection of cultural destinations filled with educational experiences that prepare the international chefs for competition. Abroad, we provide the rediscovery of relatively unknown food projects through a series dedicated to the preservation of culture, tradition, and regenerative and sustainable agriculture.
